This time the logistics seminar will be taking place in Jena’s university clinic. As in every seminar many interesting topics concerning hospital logistics will be spoken about and lively discussed during these two days. Beyond that, you have got the possibility to take a look at the hospital’s logistics control centre’s organization in the new building and let Mr. Werner – this area’s manager – explain it to you. Not only spontaneous transports, but also patient, and material movements for all the hospital’s local areas are coordinated from this 24 hour logistics centre situated in the new building.

LOGBUCH was already in use in all wards, functional areas and in the control centre, long before opening the new building, for organizing transports. Orders are processed and given via the driver’s BlackBerry. By using BlackBerry, order-data is transmitted safely and the drivers can process the orders by themselves.

Participating in this seminar is worthwhile itself! Jena is a beautiful town in a very delightful landscape. The evening programme will once again have an extended topic of "logistics" and will manage to make an unorthodox exchange of experience possible between all logistics supervisors.
